Tutoring your bursary can pay for
Your bursary or allowance is meant to cover what helps you pass. For most students that includes tutoring.
SmartPrep is a registered vendor at UP, UCT, SU, WITS and Varsity College. Every tutor has either achieved at least 75% in the subject they teach or holds an honours degree in it. We take payment from nine bursary and scholarship programmes. If your funder is one of them, you can book a tutor today and settle it the way your programme pays.
How your funder pays
There are two ways, and it depends on your programme.
Pay with your Intellimali card
If your allowance loads onto an Intellimali card, you pay directly at checkout. Enter your card, the amount comes off your allowance, and your lessons are booked. Nothing to claim back and nothing to wait for.
Pay and claim from your programme
Every other funder works the same way as any other student. You pay by card or EFT, you get an invoice, and you claim it from your programme.
Not on the list
You can still book. Choose Other bursary or scholarship on the request form and tell us which programme you are on. We invoice you the same way, and you claim it back.
If your programme pays providers directly, tell us and we will deal with them for you.
