Read the place, the pattern and the evidence

Geography tutoring,online.

Geography combines physical processes, human systems, maps and unfamiliar sources. Learning notes is only half the work; the other half is using them on a new place.

Where students lose marks

01

Processes as labels

Students must explain the sequence that creates a feature.

02

Evidence left unused

Maps, photographs and graphs need to be quoted and interpreted.

03

Mapwork accuracy

Scale, direction, gradient and GIS reward careful method.

04

Case studies without purpose

Details count only when selected for the question.

What we help with

Six common reasons students ask for support.

Catch up on missed foundations
Prepare for a test or exam
Work through homework with understanding
Improve problem-solving and exam technique
Move to a new curriculum
Extend a student who is ready for more

What we cover

One subject name. Three curriculum structures.

Route 1

CAPS and IEB

A fixed sequence with map and GIS skills throughout. CAPS and IEB teach the same content. IEB sets and marks its own, more application-heavy papers.

  • The atmosphere
  • Geomorphology
  • Population
  • Water resources
  • Development
  • Resources and sustainability
  • Rural and urban settlement
  • Economic geography of South Africa
  • Map and GIS skills

Route 2

Cambridge Geography 0460

The syllabus changes in 2027; examination year matters.

Exams in 2025–2026

  • Population and settlement
  • The natural environment
  • Economic development

Exams from 2027

  • Changing river environments
  • Changing coastal environments
  • Changing ecosystems
  • Tectonic hazards
  • Climate change
  • Changing populations
  • Changing towns and cities
  • Development
  • Changing economies
  • Resource provision

Route 3

IB Geography

A core, chosen options and an HL extension.

Core

  • Population distribution and change
  • Global climate, vulnerability and resilience
  • Global resource consumption and security

Options

  • Freshwater
  • Oceans and coastal margins
  • Extreme environments
  • Geophysical hazards
  • Leisure, tourism and sport
  • Food and health
  • Urban environments

HL extension

  • Power, places and networks
  • Human development and diversity
  • Global risks and resilience

The useful distinction: A Cambridge candidate in 2027 sits a different syllabus from one in 2026. CAPS is more South African; IB is the only route with student-chosen content.

How lessons work

Focused on the student in front of us.

Lessons are one-on-one, or in a small group if you already know students taking the same subject at the same level. They are always online, so location does not narrow the tutor match.

Book more before an assessment, fewer sessions between tests, or work steadily through the term when foundations need rebuilding.

  1. 1

Tell us where the marks are going

Share the subject, level and what is not working.

  2. 2

    We match the tutor

At least 75% in the subject or an honours degree in it.

  3. 3

    Book the hours you need

Start from thirty minutes; pay by card, EFT or supported bursary.

Bursary-funded learning

A supported bursary can pay for tutoring or a recorded course.

Use Intellimali where supported, or receive an invoice to claim from your programme.

Questions

Before you book

Start with the part that is not working.

Tell us the level, curriculum and where the student is stuck. We’ll use that to make the tutor match.
